Introducing My Newborn Blog-with a Splash!
"And we, who with unveiled faces all REFLECT the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Welcome to my writer's blog!
While mainly you'll read about my writing exploits here, my hope is that whether you're a writer, a reader, a parent or a friend...you will laugh, relax, be encouraged and refreshed.
I also invite you to join me on an intense adventure I've recently begun. The mission is: seeking to lay down...who you were...who you are...and who you hoped to be...so that you may truly reflect God's grace and his unique design for your life on a daily basis.
Please drop in on the comments and share YOUR latest adventures!
Blessings--Rebecca

Congratulations, Rebecca, on your new blogsite. Looking good with one possible exception - the brown print against the blue is a little hard to read when the print is not bold, at least for me. That might be the result of 16 hours a day of computer watching for the last 25 years so don't change it unless other people have a problem also (or if you agree).
God luck!

Welcome to the world of blogging, Rebecca. I joined in a while back, too, and I've enjoyed posting my thoughts. I look forward to future posts about God's unique design on our lives.

Welcome to blogdom! LOL
Congrats on the launch of your new blog. Have fun with it.
Hi, Rebecca! Welcome to blogging. It's pretty fun.
That's going to be really hard, to lay down who I was, who I am, and who I hoped to be. Sounds like a great challenge, though! I like it.
P.S. Were you giving away a copy of Mary De Muth's parenting book? If so, count me in. If I win you can leave me a message on my blog. :-) Thanks! I'm giving away a copy of Deborah Raney's book, Remember to Forget, on my blog, if you're interested.
First off, I LOVE being in the category with Thomas Hardy. That is my favorite book, don't you know. Ah, to find our own Gabriel Oak and Mr. Darcy, isn't that what we all hope for?
Congrats on the blog, which five kids I don't think you'll be stumped as to what to write about. : )
Okay, this comment is getting long, but last night we saw Hairspray and there was a commercial for the "Becoming Jane" the movie about Jane Austen and my six year old daughter goes, "Dad, that's about Mr. Darcy." LOL Train them up in the way they should go, am I right? Kristin
How exciting my first 5 comments!!
Thank you all for the welcome--
Donald, I will contemplate the color, yes I do know what you mean--I'm still working with the basics here, so there aren't alot of options. I promise to keep it in mind as the decor evolves!
Melanie, hang in there with me if you dare! Believe me I am the last person to lay anything like that down without a struggle...!
Kristen, I'm glad you'll enjoy that!
I have only met one other person who loves FFTMC as much as I do and we're bosom friends. Don't even get me started on Gabriel Oak, he gets so little attention, yet he could nearly make Darcy look...dare I say "wimpy"?? SHhh...
Absolutely!! LOL I'm quite proud of my oldest two already-they were adopted at 10 and almost 13, spoke no English when they arrived, yet at that ripe age Austen indoctrination began immediately. I'll never forget a day when I was taking the younger out to see "The Ideal Husband" in the theater and was trying to describe one of the characters. She burst out with "So he's quite amiable..." I released a huge sigh, said "Yeess!" and grinned from ear to ear.
Have a beautiful day of rest everyone-
Rebecca
I enjoyed reading your blog and look forward to reading it in future. I share many of your favorite films and books. Anything by Jane Austen, the Brontes, and Thomas Hardy are just fantastic. Look forward to reading more.
Please enter me for the Mary DeMuth book as well. I have been eyeing that book since it came out as I regularly read Mary's blog.
